Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
Including: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.

We provide advice in 16 languages at Ludwig’s International Pharmacy.
Your prescription must contain the following:

Patient details: Forename, surname and date of birth

Date on which the prescription was issued

Details of the doctor issuing the prescription: forename and surname, contact details and/or practice address (with details of the country in which the practice is located), and a signature (handwritten or digital)

Details of the prescribed medicine: its common name (safer than the brand name, which may vary from country to country), form of administration (tablet, solution etc.), dosage
Filling international prescriptions with us - this is how it works!
Come to us!
We will need to see an original copy of the prescription for any medicines which are only available on prescription in Germany. That is why you should visit the pharmacy in person or send us your prescription via e-mail for us to check. All prescriptions issued outside of Germany will be treated as private prescriptions, in other words you will pay the German market price for the medicine.
Not based in Germany?
You aren’t based in Germany, but you need to access medicine that is only available on prescription here?
- Check whether your prescription meets the above requirements
- Take a photo of your prescription and send this to us via e-mail
- You will be sent confirmation that your pre-order has been received
- Once we have conducted our checks, we will need you to send us an original copy of your prescription before we are able to deliver your prescribed medication. Please post this to the following address and don’t forget to include your contact details (name, address, e-mail) so we know where it came from.
